The worst would be if a girl didn't like the guy before the amnesia and then falls in love with him after. I like the idea in a theoretical sense, but there's so many easy ways to make the situation seem screwed up.MARGOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04991772749972302640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6413452967913066120.post-84600567521162645582013-03-09T10:34:41.481-05:002013-03-09T10:34:41.481-05:00As with a lot of other common tropes, I think ther...As with a lot of other common tropes, I think there needs to be some sort of suspension of disbelief. I totally don't blame people who are turned off by ideas that are unrealistic and prefer romantic stories that *could* plausibly happen to them!Thea Landenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12835512996045807921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6413452967913066120.post-25283673978801046952013-03-09T10:32:26.962-05:002013-03-09T10:32:26.962-05:00Hmm, that's a valid point - I also don't k...Hmm, that's a valid point - I also don't know if I have the patience (or the skills!) to pull this off effectively. I haven't seen the movie yet, but as I rather like both stars, it's on the list!Thea Landenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12835512996045807921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6413452967913066120.post-15605135581232055972013-03-09T05:21:49.005-05:002013-03-09T05:21:49.005-05:00Your cons are exactly the same as mine. At its most ineffective, it's simply soap opera nonsense, but even when done relatively well, it's still often somewhat short of reality, medically speaking. Of course, I tend to over-analyze things, anyway. This is a really hard one to pull off without it seeming like a cheap plot twist, but your last paragraph got me thinking that it *can* be a good way to keep readers and viewers interested in the romance.Greta Myleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15261672240189190573noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6413452967913066120.post-70274491173328399542013-03-07T17:29:35.871-05:002013-03-07T17:29:35.871-05:00I don't think I have the patience for this, bu...I don't think I have the patience for this, but I did think The Vow was pretty good. Though I probably wouldn't have bothered with it if it wasn't based on a true story. krystal janehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08982747799563029153noreply@blogger.com
