Searching the Skies Series

Searching the Skies

Commander Geneva Greyson has spent the past ten years focused on her career, moving up the ranks with the Terran military. Following a high-stakes mission on a planet filled with violent aliens, she struggles to fight her growing attraction to her fellow officer, Ash. She eventually gives in to temptation, but their time together is short-lived, as she is summoned home by her estranged parents.

The planet of Pasurea sits at the center of the Terran empire. It’s inhabited by the wealthiest and most influential residents of the galaxy, and the Greysons are no exception. In an effort to ease some of the awkwardness of their reunion, Geneva’s mother invites Marcus, her childhood friend who is now a successful businessman. Though he has been looking forward to seeing her again for the first time in nearly a decade, she is too angry at the circumstances that tore her away from her ship to reciprocate his efforts to rekindle their friendship. His persistence wins her over, however, and she enjoys his intimate company before returning to her post against her parents’ wishes.

Difficult decisions plague Geneva, and she believes she will never find a solution to her problems that will please everyone. Convinced she’s bound to disappoint at least one person, she plans to distance herself from those close to her. Before she can make her escape, Ash and Marcus conspire to present her with an enticing offer to continue seeing both of them romantically, but is it too good to be true?

Defying the Skies

In addition to her distinguished career with the Terran military, Commander Geneva Greyson has achieved harmony in her personal life. Her renewed relationship with her parents has grown stronger and she’s settled into a comfortable arrangement with the two men she loves. While she’s on leave from duty, Marcus confesses a dark fantasy to her—not only does he have feelings for her, he’s developing an attraction to Ash. The other man is due to arrive to spend the weekend with them, yet he begs Geneva not reveal his secrets.

After a relaxing visit, the officers return to their posts. En route to the spaceship, Geneva drops hints to Ash regarding her illicit conversation with Marcus. Though she doesn’t disclose specific details, Ash shrugs off her concerns and claims it would only be natural if the three of them someday started playing more equal roles in their trysts. Content with their shared views on the future, they reach their destination without further incident.

Upon completing a week-long mission, the commanders learn of a distressing event. A terrorist group has organized a strike and taken hostages in their efforts to attract attention to their cause. When Geneva discovers Marcus is listed among the missing, she asks to be assigned to the task of locating the victims. The admiral denies her request, but she disobeys the orders and sets out to join the reconnaissance team with Ash by her side. Will they find Marcus before it’s too late for him to affirm his desires?

Surrendering the Skies

Commander Geneva Greyson has everything she’s ever wanted—a successful career with the Terran military and a loving relationship with the two men of her dreams. When she and Ash are assigned to a remote location with their teams for nine months, they’re disappointed to be so far away for so long, but vow to Marcus to do everything they can to maintain their connection with him while they’re gone. The military base on the desolate planet is bleak and dreary, but they find ways to include him in their intimate encounters.

An accident at the base destroys the communication systems, leaving the soldiers with no way to send or receive messages. Upon their return to the ship, Geneva and Ash are thrilled to be able to finally contact Marcus, but when they do, he has surprising news for them: in their absence, he has started dating another woman, Adele. He swears he never intended to hurt anyone’s feelings, and they have no choice but to accept the change in their circumstances.

With some hesitation, they agree to meet Adele, and Geneva begrudgingly admits she’s a good match for her former lover. When she learns that Marcus has omitted details about their past relationship—most significantly, his own history with Ash—Geneva is upset, but Ash warns her not to reveal too much. Soon after their return to duty, tragedy strikes for Ash and his family, and military regulations prevent her from being by his side.

The upheaval in Geneva’s personal life highlights the dissatisfaction that had been creeping into her work since she helped rescue Marcus after the terrorist attack. She wonders if the military is still the right place for her, yet the idea of abandoning the only career she’s ever known fills her with anxiety. Can she find a way to return to the ways of life she used to enjoy, or is it time for her to set out on a new path, with or without the men she loves?

Chasing the Skies

Following the end of her military career, Geneva takes a job at a private security firm offering protection and investigative services. She appreciates the guidance and camaraderie from Renae, the company’s owner, and is eager to learn new skills. Her prior experience, along with her familiarity with Pasurea’s upper class, help soothe her insecurities and motivate her to take on challenging assignments.

Due to her new position, Marcus turns to her when Adele inadvertently comes across potential illegal activity at her office. Geneva is skeptical at first, especially since some tension lingers in the relationship between them, but agrees to look into the matter. To add to her unease, Ash contacts her from the military ship to inform her he’s being deployed on a risky mission to a war zone on the opposite end of the galaxy.

The investigation of Adele’s colleagues leads the women on an adventure throughout Pasurea’s capital, from extravagant rooftop galas to the darker areas of the city. During Geneva’s mission to uncover more details, communication from Ash is sparse, and she struggles to push aside her remaining romantic feelings for Marcus. She attempts to conceal her emotions from all three of them, not wanting to cause any additional stress or concern, but it doesn’t take long before those closest to her see through her façade. Protecting people has always been her priority, but can she keep her loved ones safe while navigating her new roles?

Conquering the Skies

Life on Pasurea has been going well for Geneva Greyson, despite her complicated history with her native planet. As a private investigator, she helped expose a crime ring at one of the capital’s top accounting firms, leading to accolades from her boss, Renae. She and Ash have maintained their long-distance relationship, and their intimate encounters sometimes include close friends Marcus and Adele.

Change is on the horizon, however, beginning with Ash’s decision to leave the military. Geneva is thrilled to have him with her, but hopes he’ll be able to adapt to civilian life in an unfamiliar city. Marcus pays her an unexpected visit to tell her about Adele’s obvious hints at expecting a marriage proposal soon, and he needs to sort through his emotional ties to both women. Lastly, Renae announces her plans for retirement, though she has yet to determine what will happen to Platinum Security Solutions.

Throughout all the disruption in her usual routines and her friends’ lives, Geneva must chart her own course to shape the future she wants. Good advice can come from surprising places, and her mother Dahlia offers some suggestions she hadn’t considered. Weddings, career changes, and travels to distant planets take her on more thrilling adventures as she keeps searching for a place in the galaxy to call home, but will she ever find where she belongs?
