I love the holiday season. I love the music, wrapping and giving gifts, and getting together with family so we can stuff our faces. I don't even mind the snow! (as long as I'm not the one shoveling it)
The whole gifting aspect of the holidays is where things sometimes get hairy. Sometimes our loved ones just don't get it right. (But of course we always act gracious and appreciate the effort!) My DH gives me romantic things all the time. They're almost never jewelry, but they're always something I've mentioned wanting or needing. He knows me very well (we've been married for 16 years now), and the fact that he listens and remembers is incredibly romantic to me.
